The municipality of Redondo, in Central Alentejo, will host one of the 2025 editions of the “Fogo da Terra” event, which takes place on the 17th and 18th of May, in the village’s Environmental Park. The initiative brings together traditional, cultural and gastronomic elements, celebrating ancestral practices deeply linked to the Alentejo identity.
With free admission, the event invites the local population and visitors to participate in two days of conviviality, with emphasis on the symbolic manipulation of fire, concerts, thematic workshops, exhibition of regional products and moments of community sharing.
“Fogo da Terra” is a celebration that has been gaining expression in recent years, promoting intangible heritage and strengthening ties between generations. In addition to Redondo, other editions of the event are planned in other places in the country.
