The AGROPYME AVANZA AAA project strengthens the competitiveness of SMEs in the agri-food sector in the Algarve-Alentejo-Andalusia Euroregion, through innovation, digitalization and sustainability.
The cross-border project AGROPYME AVANZA AAA, co-financed by the Interreg Spain-Portugal (POCTEP) 2021-2027 program, is strengthening SMEs in the agri-food sector in the Algarve, Alentejo and Andalusia, focusing on innovation, digitalization and sustainability.” We work so that SMEs can transform knowledge into solutions applicable on the ground”, highlights one of those responsible for the execution of the project.
The initiative promotes the digital transition with tools that aim to modernize processes, strengthen online presence and adopt new management and production technologies.
Companies are encouraged to adopt environmentally responsible practices, with a focus on resource efficiency and reducing ecological impact.
Preliminary results: 20 SMEs trained and 10 in implementation
- 20 SMEs participated in capacity building in key areas;
- 20 companies received specialized support to prepare diagnoses and competitiveness plans;
- 10 SMEs are implementing the changes set out in their strategic plans.
These activities demonstrate a real commitment to continuous improvement in the regional agri-food sector.
